Alejandro Garnacho responded to Brazil U20 captain’s statement about opponents.

Garnacho was not part of Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team at the Sudamericano as Manchester United did not allow him to travel with the team. Brazil would win the Sudamericano and their captain, Andrey Santos, stated the following after the win:

“Looking for an opponent in South America”.

This is a play on after Argentina won the Copa America and Brazil won gold at the Olympics, players of the two teams exchanged comments about looking for an opponent.

A post on Instagram by TNT Sports, displayed the quote. Alejandro Garnacho replied to it with a laughing emoji.

There has been an increasing demand by Argentina fans asking for Garnacho to be included in the Argentina team for the March friendly matches.
