Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from their surprising draw against Nottingham Forest last weekend as they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side went top of the Premier League after beating Arsenal recently, but their drop of points against Forest coupled with Arsenal’s win against Aston Villa meant it was the Gunners who returned to the top.
City come into this on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig in the Champions League round of 16, and fans will be hoping there is no further disappointment on Saturday night.
As for Bournemouth, they are feeling good after a 1-0 win over Wolves took them into the relegation zone and ended a nine-game winless run.
Bournemouth team news
The injury news for Bournemouth could be very mixed when this game comes around. They are expecting to be without Lewis Cook and David Brooks through injury, but a host of players will be touch and go.
Lloyd Kelly, Jordan Zemura, Junior Stanislas and Illia Zabarnyi are all close to making returns from injury and they are going to be evaluated right up until the last moment in training.
Bournemouth predicted lineup
(4-2-3-1): Neto; Smith, Stephens, Senesi, Zemura; Billing, Lerma; Ouattara, Traore, Tavernier; Solanke.
Man City team news
The Citizens are going to be without John Stones again as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. Both Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte missed the Leipzig match through illness but they are expected to return.
There is often an element of mystery about what sort of lineup and formation Pep Guardiola will choose, especially when his team is not in great form. He may stick with a back four or he could go back to a three. This will effect whether players like Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish continue in the team.
Man City predicted lineup
(3-2-4-1): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte; Rodri, Bernardo; Foden, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Grealish; Haaland.
