Lionel Messi says he feels more settled at Paris Saint-Germain after a tough first season in the French capital.
Following his shock and unexpected exit from Barcelona, the Argentine star has managed just six league goals in 2021/22, with the last tally coming in 2006/07 as a youth player at Barcelona.
However, he returned to form this year as he contributed 13 goals and 12 assists in 21 Ligue 1 appearances to join Argentina’s World Cup triumph this winter.
Messi has now admitted that he needed some time to settle after his departure from Barça.
He told PSG’s internal media: “The truth is that I feel great. The first year I had a difficult time adapting to Paris for various reasons.
