Senegal U20 and Israel U20 will battle for three points in Group C of the FIFA U20 World Cup on Wednesday.

Both sides will be looking to pick up their first points of the tournament, having each suffered defeat in their opening matches at the weekend.

Senegal lost 1-0 to Japan on Sunday. Kuryu Matsuki scored the winning goal in the 15th minute. The African champions were unable to score an equalizer despite seeing a goal disallowed by VAR and were the more dominant side for most of the match.

Israel kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 defeat against Colombia. They went through through Doro Turgeman’s goal in the 57th minute, while Oscar Cortes equalized for the South Americans from the spot in the 74th minute. Gustavo Molano scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.
