Argentina’s national team remains number one in the latest FIFA rankings.

Lionel Scaloni’s team remains the best team in the world not only on paper. FIFA has released its latest rankings and there is very little change in the top 10 in the world.

Argentina remain in the lead with World Cup finalists France in second place. Brazil remain third with England on four and Belgium on five. Croatia remains at six and the Netherlands at seven.

The change in the top 10 is that Portugal moves up one place and Italy drops one place. Spain round out the top 10, which is where they were last ranked.

It was the start of September’s South American World Cup qualifiers and Argentina kept their lead with two wins from two. 1:0 win vs. Ecuador and a 3:0 win vs. Bolivia.
