Why did Brazil not select Vinicius Jr. for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers?

Vinicius Jr., the Real Madrid star and unquestionably the most complete player the Brazilian national team currently has, has been one of the major absence surprises among the South American countries. The explanations for his absence are provided here.

Undoubtedly, Vinicius Jr. is one of the most important players in all of European soccer, not only for his current team, Real Madrid. Since joining the “Merengue” team, he has assumed a prominent position and grown to be a vital part of their attacking strength.

Vinicius Jr., who is only 23 years old, is not only a significant player in Football’s present but also has a bright future ahead of him. Brazil has the most titles in the World Cup, and its supporters have immense faith in him to help the country win it again.

Why Vinicius Jr. was left out of the Brazil squad?

Due to a proven muscle injury in the posterior part of his right thigh, the Brazilian will be unable to play for his country during the first two Matchdays of the qualifications. The Brazilian Soccer Confederation (CBF) publicly announced this information on its social media channels.
