Argentina take on Peru in their latest World Cup 2026 qualifier on Tuesday and their leading man is at it again.

Lionel Messi netted two goals in 10 minutes to put the away side in complete control entering the second half.

The Inter Miami ace was left unmarked on the edge of the box and played in a left-foot curler for the opener.

Without blinking an eye, another goal from practically the same position then doubled Argentina’s lead.

It means Messi now has the most goals in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying (31), overtaking former Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez, who had 29 with Uruguay.
