The Faroe Islands will be looking for their first win in Group E of the Euro 2024 qualifiers when they take on Poland in Torsvollur on Thursday (October 12).
The hosts kept a clean sheet in their last game as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Moldova in September. Hakan Ericson’s men have lost their last five games across competitions, conceding 10 goals and scoring once since a 1-1 draw against Moldova in March.
The Faroe Islands are bottom of Group E with one point from five matches.
Meanwhile, Poland failed to move into the top half of the table when they suffered a 2-0 defeat at Albania on 10 September.
While Michel Probierz’s side boast a 100% home record in qualifying, they have lost three away games in Group E, conceding eight goals and conceding three.
With six points from a possible 15, Poland are fourth in Group E, but with all three points they will move into second place.
