The qualification process for the European Championship is almost over and teams are desperate to book their place at the 2024 tournament.

Germany – who are in the midst of a national team crisis after sacking Hansi Flick as coach and replacing him with Julian Nagelsmann – were the first country to book their place at Euro 2024 and automatically qualify as hosts. They will be desperate to find form in the pre-season friendly ahead of next summer.

After Covid-19 forced the 2020 tournament to take place a year later in 2021, with Italy beating England in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in the final at Wembley, all roads are clear this time to Germany.

In the first week of October, fans had the opportunity to begin the process of obtaining tickets for the tournament, which begins on June 14 next year.

When do Euro 2024 tickets go on sale?

German Unity Day (October 3, 2023) marked the start of the Euro 2024 ticket sales process.

Fans had to register for tickets before that date by creating an account on the official UEFA Euro 2024 website. This meant that those interested in buying tickets could be ready well in advance of when the application period officially opened at 2pm. CET (8am ET/1pm BST) on October 3.

UEFA says more than 80 percent of the total 2.7 million tickets for Euro 2024 will be made available to fans of participating teams and the general public. 1.2 million tickets will be available during the application period, which begins on October 3.

Ticket allocation will then take place by ballot after the application window closes on December 2nd — that’s when the “reserved sale phase” begins for fans of the 21 qualifying teams, who at this stage know their groups and draw.

Additional tickets will be held back for sale to supporters of teams that qualify through the play-offs to be held in March 2024.

How much will Euro 2024 tickets cost?

UEFA says ticket prices will start from €30 with more than a million available for less than €60.

Precise ticket prices, including general admission and hospitality options, will be made available by UEFA in due course. Naturally, prices for the latter stages of the tournament, and the final in particular, will be more expensive. For the final of the 2020 event at Wembley Stadium, prices were as high as €945.
