A brace from Curtis Jones and strikes from Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool reach a record 19th League Cup semi-final with a 5-1 win over West Ham.
After a disappointing goalless draw against Manchester United on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to win at home for the first time this season, they ended their run of 34 consecutive games with a goal against less stubborn opposition.
West Ham manager David Moyes left after 21 failed attempts to win at Anfield as his club’s woeful record at the ground extended to one win in their last 56.
