It has been widely known for the past few weeks that Luis Suarez has been in talks with Inter Miami. Gremio have already announced that they will leave the club at the end of 2023, opening the door for the Uruguayan to move from South to North America.
Suarez would join former Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba if he were to join Inter Miami, and now it looks like that day will finally come. Fabrizio Romano announced that the deal is almost sealed and an announcement is expected to come very soon.
Suarez will sign a one-year contract with Inter Milan that will include an option to extend for a further 12 months. It’s an excellent piece of business for the Florida franchise, who are now surely one of the heavy favorites to win the MLS Cup next season.
Suarez has had an outstanding individual season with Gremio and if he can rebuild Barcelona’s partnership with Messi and co. right from the start, Inter Miami could achieve great things in 2024.
