Another MLS season is knocking on the door and with it ‘Messimania.’ Lionel Messi will be coming to Tinsel Town on February 25th to play against the LA Galaxy for the first time since his move to MLS. The match is already ticketed.

According to renowned MLS journalist Faviano Renkel, the LA Galaxy broke all previous MLS ticket sales records, selling 27,000 tickets within just 10 minutes of going on sale! The Miami-LA game will be played at Dignity Health Park, LA. With this stunning sale, LA surpassed Dallas FC’s recent MLS record of selling 20,500 tickets in 18 minutes for a match against Inter Miami.

All of Inter Miami’s home games have been sold out since Lionel Messi’s arrival. Additionally, according to StubHub data, Inter Miami became the top-selling team in MLS, overtaking Los Angeles FC last season.

In addition, David Beckham’s Miami side also announced that they have sold out of their season tickets for 2024. This announcement came two weeks after tickets went on sale for advance holders.

Recently released StubHub data also pointed out that MLS has benefited immensely from the arrival of Lionel Messi. Messi’s move saw a dramatic 160% increase in net sales for MLS in the 2023 season and attracted fans from more than 90 countries.

Meanwhile, the Herons’ international ticket sales have seen a 220% increase in 2023 compared to 2022. Fueling the buzz around Leo Messi and Inter Miami, a recent update proves that ‘Messimania’ has transcended MLS and America. The Hong Kong NT and its front office have already gone all out in anticipation of the game against Miami.
