The Parc des Princes hosts the 28th edition of the Trophee des Champions final, with Paris Saint Germain and Toulouse clashing for the first silverware of 2024 on Wednesday.

While Toulouse look set to lift the cup trophy for the first time in their history, PSG will be looking to win back-to-back titles and claim the crown for a record twelfth time.

PSG maintained their five-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a 3-1 win over Metz in their final match of 2023.

Luis Enrique’s men go into the new year unbeaten in eight consecutive matches in all competitions – five wins and three draws – a run that saw them reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

PSG, who clinched the Ligue 1 title last season, now have their eyes on winning the Trophee des Champions and starting the new year in style.

Toulouse, on the other hand, reached the cup final after winning the Coupe de France in April, beating Nantes 5-1 in the final.

However, Martinez’s side are not in top form at the moment, with just one win in their last eight games in all competitions since mid-November.

Toulouse were last in action on December 20 when they went down 2-1 against Monaco in Ligue 1, where they are currently 16th in the table, two points from safety.

PSG predicted lineup vs Toulouse (4-3-3):

Donnarumma; Hakimi, Skriniar, Marquinhos, Hernandez; Ugarte, Zaire-Emery, Vitinha; Asensio, Ramos, Mbappe.

Toulouse predicted lineup vs PSG (4-2-3-1):

Restes; Mawissa, Costa, Nicolaisen, Suazo; Casseres, Spierings; Donnum, Gelabert, Magri; Dallinga.
