Real Madrid’s challenge for the La Liga title will take them to Las Palmas on January 27.

Los Blancos arrive in Gran Canaria knowing that a win would put them above league leaders Girona, who are not in action until the following day at Celta Vigo.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be fully focused on La Liga in the coming weeks ahead of their return to UEFA Champions League action against RB Leipzig on February 13.

Team news

Real Madrid will be without key midfielder Jude Bellingham this weekend as the England international serves a one-match La Liga ban after picking up a fifth league yellow card in the 3-2 win over Almeria.

Las Palmas have Barcelona guest Julian Araujo back after a two-match ban, but he is expected to start on the bench, with the hosts unchanged from their 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid (4-3-1-2): Kepa (GK) — Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Mendy — Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga — Modric — Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.

Las Palmas (4-5-1): Valles (GK) — Suarez, Herzog, Marmol, Cardona — Munir, Munoz, Perrone, Rodriguez, Moleiro — Ramirez.
