The final chapter of the rivalry between Chelsea and Tottenham was set to take place on Friday 23 February 2024.

There is not much love between the two London clubs, whose animosity initially stems from geographical proximity but has deepened in recent years as each has become a more prominent presence at the top of English football.

Their previous meeting ended in a 4-1 win for Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November 2023, during which the hosts had two players sent off in a frenetic and highly entertaining game. It meant the return fixture in the 2023/24 Premier League season was eagerly awaited.

However, the match scheduled for late February has been postponed, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to see these two lock horns again.

When is Chelsea vs Tottenham being played?

The match between Chelsea and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge was originally scheduled for Friday 23 February.

The game has been postponed and no new date or time has been confirmed yet.

A potential slot for the game could be in the week starting March 4th. Chelsea face Brentford away on March 2 before not playing again until March 11 when they host Newcastle United.

Why was Chelsea vs Tottenham postponed?

The match was originally scheduled to take place on 23 February, but was postponed as Chelsea reached the Carabao Cup final, which took place on Sunday 25 February.

The Blues beat Liverpool 1-0 at Wembley Stadium, Virgil van Dijk scoring the winning goal in extra time.

Liverpool were due to face Luton Town on the same weekend as the cup final, but the match was moved to 21 February. The Reds won the match at Anfield 4-1.
