Kylian Mbappe is expected to decide on his future in the next few weeks. The French International is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, meaning he is now open to talks with other clubs, Real Madrid being one of them.
Real Madrid have been trying to sign Kylian Mbappe for years and while they have been unsuccessful so far, 2024 could be the year they finally do. However, at this stage it is difficult to say which way Mbappe will decide.
According to The Athletic, PSG are not too confident of keeping Kylian Mbappe, having identified Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford as a summer target – the two players play in very similar positions, so it appears he would be a direct replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
The report states that PSG have considered Rashford as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe in 2022, the last time they came close to losing the France captain. This could be a hopeful sign that Real Madrid have a great chance, although it is too early to tell if that is the case.
