Portugal will face Sweden in an international friendly in 2024.
In 2023, Portugal displayed excellence by triumphing in all 10 of their Euro 2024 qualifying matches. While the caliber of opponents may not have been the most challenging, they made the most of the opportunities presented.
This stellar performance served as a key boost heading into the tournament year. Portugal faces an interesting group at Euro 2024, facing the Czech Republic, Turkey Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece or Kazakhstan.
Unfortunately, Sweden will not be participating in any summer tournament as they failed to qualify for Euro 2024. Despite being placed in a tough group, expectations were higher for Sweden, who only collected 10 points. Their victories came mainly against Azerbaijan and Estonia, with their campaign marred by a remarkable 3–0 defeat to Azerbaijan.
