France will take on Canada at the Stade Matmut Atlantique in an international friendly on Sunday evening, having completed preparations for UEFA Euro 2024.
Didier Deschamps’ men had a convincing 3-0 win over Luxembourg in their first game of the month, while their visiting hosts were thrashed 4-0 by the Netherlands on Thursday night.
France have reached three of the last four major tournament finals. They are looking for redemption at these Euros after losing in the quarter-finals to Switzerland three years ago before suffering a penalty shoot-out loss to Argentina at the last World Cup 2022. Les Bleus have world-class players in every position and have a great chance of winning the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.
Canada will look to give the home team a tough challenge, having been beaten by the Netherlands in their first international friendly. The Canadian team will compete in the Copa America 2024 in a few days, where they are in Group A along with Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
This friendly will surely test their ability to compete against the best opponents. The visiting team will have to try their best to even draw here.
