Neymar was asked about Lionel Messi and the Brazilian called him an idol and a friend.
Lionel Messi and Neymar played together at FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar always praised Lionel Messi and Messi praised him in return.
Although Lionel Messi is in Miami and Neymar is in Saudi Arabia, the two are still in touch. Neymar was recently interviewed on Band Sports and was asked about Messi. Here is what he had to say:
“We are far away but we talk, we talk a lot. He sent me a message yesterday too, but we are happy, we are happy for each other. He sent me a message for the title when we won here too. I talked to him, he’s a great guy, he’s a great mirror for me, he’s a big idol. Besides being an idol, he’s my friend and we talk a lot.”
