Roberto Martinez’s side are seen as one of the favorites to progress and win the European Championship in the coming weeks after Cristiano Ronaldo and co. in 2016 they lifted the trophy.
Hosts Ireland did not qualify for the competition but secured their first win under interim head coach John O’Shea with a late 2-1 win over Hungary in Dublin last week.

If Ronaldo comes into the starting XI, he is expected to replace Goncalo Ramos as Portugal’s center-forward, with Joao Cancelo and Diogo Jota expected to also rotate in for Martinez.
O’Shea will also look to improve his squad, with Jake O’Brien expected to start alongside Tottenham striker Troy Parrott after a strong season at Lyon.
