Barcelona coach Dani Olmo reported on Monday about the club’s continued efforts to sign Dani Olmo’s new signing. This, of course, comes ahead of Barcelona’s return to action on Tuesday night.
After picking up wins over Valencia and Athletic Club to open the campaign, the Blaugrana travel to Vallecas to meet Rayo Vallecano.
In the wake of the clash, chatter spread again about the potential involvement of the aforementioned Dani Olmo.
Due to ongoing financial problems behind the scenes at the Camp Nou, Barca were, bizarrely, unable to use their summer signing in either of the club’s first two games. Deco et al.
they continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to open up the necessary space in the club’s wage bill to formalize Olmo’s La Liga registration, but so far such efforts have proved unsuccessful.
The aforementioned Hansi Flick was therefore asked for the latest information on the situation when he spoke to the media on Tuesday in anticipation of his side’s next performance.
And the German went on to reveal his ‘belief’ that midfielder Olmo will be ‘in the squad’ to face Rayo Vallecano:
“I have faith in the club, I believe we can include Olmo in the squad (for tomorrow). Any player who can’t participate due to not being registered won’t be happy… but he understands the situation we are in.”
