Phil Foden Named PFA Player of the Year
Manchester City’s Phil Foden has clinched the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award for the 2023/24 season. The England international’s exceptional performance throughout the campaign, marked by 19 goals and 8 assists in 35 appearances, has earned him this well-deserved recognition.
Foden was named Premier League Player of the Season this summer and has now added the PFA Player of the Year trophy to his ever-growing cabinet.
“I also want to pay special thanks to Pep, the City coaches and all my teammates as they help me to try and get better every single day.
“I’d also like to congratulate Kyle [Walker], Rodrigo, and Erling [Haaland] on being voted into the PFA Team of the Year as it’s great to see their amazing quality recognised in such a way.
“Last season was another very special one for everyone at the Club but now all our focus is concentrated on trying to achieve more success this term.”
Elsewhere, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was named the PFA Young Player of the Year, while stars from Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa all earned spots in the Team of the Year.
