Kane Celebrates Century with Double as England Defeats Finland
London, England – Harry Kane marked his 100th appearance for England with a memorable performance, scoring twice to lead the Three Lions to a 2-0 victory over Finland in the Nations League.
Kane, who donned a pair of golden boots, was celebrated before kick-off at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday as he became the 10th player to make 100 appearances for the Three Lions.
And after seeing a diving header disallowed for offside in the first half, Kane made sure he marked his milestone in style with a second-half double.
After being denied by the excellent Lukáš Hradecky, who made six saves in total to keep Finland in the fight for England’s dominance, Kane finally broke the deadlock with a superb strike that fell under the crossbar in the 57th minute.
Kane doubled his lead with 14 minutes of regulation time remaining, slotting in from Noni Madueke’s cut.
The England captain received a standing ovation after Saturday’s win over the Republic of Ireland as his boss Carsley made it two from two.
