The future of the Argentine International Lionel Messi may not be as clear-cut as it looks. A complaint has been lodged with the European Commission in an attempt to prevent PSG from signing Argentina.
According to Marca’s report states that Financial Fair Play should control PSG in the fight against Messi’s signature.
“PSG’s rating of Financial Fair Play is much worse than that of FC Barcelona,” a statement from the Court of Appeal by Dr. Juan Branco on behalf of members of FC Barcelona.
“In 2019/20, 99% of PSG’s revenue was spent on salaries, and it was 54% for Barcelona.”
The report also states that Barca President Joan Laporta’s reason for not being able to renew Leo Messi’s contract was that, even if the player took a 50 % salary reduction, Barcelona’s salary would be 110 percent of the European and LaLiga body set.
There were also references to the PSG signing we have already made this summer, bringing in Italian Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, and Georginio Wijnaldum earlier. Those players join Kylian Mbappe, Neymar jr and Marco Verratti in PSG books.
