After working through Barca’s famous La Masia school, Ansu Fati made his debut for the senior team at just age of 16 in 2019.
Last season the Spaniard managed just 7 games in La Liga after suffering a serious knee injury, but recently returned to training after ten months on the sidelines.
Mendes had hoped to push for a major pay rise in contract renewal before returning to the first team, should his client struggle to regain his former form.
The Catalan newspaper El Nacional reports that the La Masia product has been placed in the store window by super-agent Mendes, as he looks to intimidate Spanish giants to extend their contract to his client.
The report goes on to say that Manchester City are one of the clubs to be contacted, but manager Pep Guardiola has refused to sign the deal due to his strong ties with Barca, especially returning president Joan Laporta.
Ansu Fati made 41 appearances for Barcelona’s first team in total, scoring 13 goals.
