The Arab Cup was played in Qatar a few weeks ago, and the country continues its preparations for the 2022 World Cup.
As countries have previously done with the Confederations Cup, Qatar has used the Arab Cup to show that it is ready for next year’s World Cup in November and December.
The tournament will be played in November and December. The players will cut their home seasons in half, taking a short break from team football to travel to Qatar.
The Arab Cup has served as proof that the heat this time of year will not be an issue for teams in 2022.
Many of the stadiums will be packed with 50,000 or 60,000 people next winter, as more and more modern stadiums will be built for the tournament.
With the Arab Cup, Qatar has stepped up its preparations for 2022, although controversy over the decision to take over the tournament remains for a number of reasons, including the working conditions of the stadium builders.
