It’s no secret that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe’s contract expires next summer, but the French outfit is determined to stick to him, even if it means risking offending Lionel Messi in the show.
Real Madrid are very open to signing Mbappe and are willing to offer him a contract that will extend his current contract and bring Neymar closer to PSG.
Mbappe’s PSG plan
The Parisians’ plan to deal with this is daunting: they intend to tempt the 23-year-old to extend his stay in France by offering him a temporary contract as the club’s highest-paid player.
PSG are determined not only to beat Real Madrid in a short period of time but also to put the Frenchman more money than Neymar and Lionel Messi.
According to the context, Messi earns about 41 million euros a year, while Mbappe currently earns 18 million euros a year. It is a bid of stars and shows PSG’s determination, or perhaps a longing, to keep their star for a while.
There is also the question: how would Messi and Neymar react to their young teammate who was suddenly selected as the team’s highest-paid player? It may change the flexibility and organization of the team, but it is obviously dangerous that the Paris club is willing to take it.
Mbappe recently emphasized that he has not yet made a decision on his future. Meanwhile, on the pitch, next week PSG will face anyone other than Real Madrid in the Champions League.
